Forza Track Days Theme Suggestions

Thought of a theme idea for an upcoming Forza Track Days event? This the place to share it.

pre 80's cars, or muscle cars please

I am still in support of my idea for a race car theme, should be a good change of pace from the road cars.

Only pink colours!
I'd love to see the starting grid with only pink cars.

May I suggest a wagon/shooting-brake track day?

All good suggestions so far.

I especially like the ideas from Ryan and Viggen and will be putting them into action in the not so distant future. I have a great C class 850R for the Wagon themed event!

Certain manufacture showcases, eg. Only Lambos, Ferraris etc
or Model line generations, as in for Nissan GTR you can only use the R32, 33, 34 or 35

I dunno, stuff like that. Only British? Only subcompact?
How about as close as you can get to the car you actually drive in real life?

All good ideas you have there. The only one I'm not so sure about is the bottom suggestions, seeing as quite a few of us are under 17 and don't drive yet! We could do our parents' cars, but even then, my dad drives a Ford S-Max, so I guess I would have to make do with my Grandad's VW Golf Mk6!

Also, I was thinking of a rivals type theme to try out some day. For example:

• Corvette vs Viper
  
• Ferrari vs Lamborghini
  
• M3 vs S4
  

Obviously the possibilities with that type of theme could go on, and on.

Another brilliant idea by me, a beater/banger/clunker track day. This would be a day for cars that should be in the scrap yard. In other words, they need to look like rust buckets

How about a rally themed event on Camino Viejo de Montserrat Extreme Circuit?

Well, really, the possibilities are endless.

I don't know if it's a good idea, it just popped into my head as I was throwing my Galant around that track.
It's an extremely fun drive.

Dont forget that the Volvo 240 is very popular in Sweden as a rally car!
Something interesting is that there are no Integras in Sweden, kinda sad since you see them a lot in Finland.

Someone used to run an Integra here, too. Now it's mainly Group N and Super 2000/1600, plus a Porsche, a couple of Volvos, and a Manta 400.

Anyway, I'm a bit curious about the race car theme. Will we be able to run our "homemade" racing cars? I have a Volvo C30 built for a touring car series I raced in earlier this year, and I'd like to take out again.

Will I be able to enter that, or does it have to be "real" competition cars as the A4 DTM, DBR9 and LMP1/2 cars, which were race cars the second they were put into the game, and not stripped out roadcars?

I think it would make a nice change if we ran strictly race prepared cars, not our own versions.

Also, there is nothing stopping you from running your Volvo C30 at a production themed event without a racing livery!

Ok here's another idea: how about a track day dedicated to the cars and engines that were the results of the 1970s Energy Crisis. Cars like the Pacer and the '79 Camaro are examples of this.

I'd fancy a all 80's track day. There are many interesting cars from that period.

At least we're never going to run out of theme ideas now!

Top Gear Challenge cars - in short, any car that has been in a TopGear challenge, like the police cars, Alfas, whatever. Paint it up like the car in the challenge and leave it standard, if it was left standard to start with.

Around the TG track for full effect. I guess we could include TG USA cars for our American friendss too.

Thoughts?

Porsche/RUF event when T10 eventually release a sample maybe?

Porsche/RUF is limiting, but a good idea none-the-less. I really want to put the race car week idea to use soon too.

Dan, I saw your chat with Ryan in the chatbox when I looked this morning, and I really like the TG challenge cars idea! So long as all cars were painted as replicas of the one's used in TG (eg. same licence plate and any liveries etc.) That would be an amazing opportunity for some classic photos too.

That was the idea Ben. Could we do it next week maybe?

It's something I'll think about for sure.

Also, might I suggest not (ever) using the top gear track as it is, yknow, a figure 8..

Since its rare to see Japanese 90's cars on the grid I suggest that, on Suzuka Full. There are plenty to choose from and they sure made some great cars from that period.
