The Simpsons Episode Mission

Considering that I'm going to have a lot of time on my hands this summer, I decided to begin a mission which I have had in mind for a long while now.

The Mission: To watch every single episode of The Simpsons which has been broadcasted.

Using Watch The Simpsons Online and One TV Shows, I am able to watch every single episode that has aired. I'll be watching some on my PC, some on my iPhone, some on my iPad, and I WILL complete this!

I've created a Google Docs spreadsheet, which I will be using to track my progress. I thought that some of you may like to follow my progress now and again - see how I'm getting on.

I think that this could be one of the hardest challenges I have ever set myself, considering how many episodes have actually been broadcasted since December 17, 1989! :o The challenge will be made that little bit easier by the fact that The Simpsons is probably my most favourite TV programme ever!

I'll be posting in this thread with some episode comments when I get a chance. Also, if you have any ideas for the spreadsheet like extra columns etc. please let me know.

Episode 101 has been watched. After seeing many, many more modern episodes of The Simpsons, you can tell right away that the voices of lots of characters are different to what they are at the current time. Also, for me, it was a little too 'realistic', with the exception being the huge laser which is used to remove Bart's 'Moth' tattoo. Being aired in 1989, though, I wasn't expecting anything more.

Also, just to note, I'll watching all episodes in chronological order, and also re-watching all episodes that I have already watched on TV before.

Since watching 101, I've now watched 102, 103, and 104. Really enjoying the classic episodes so far!

Oh don't I know it! I was awake until 2am this morning trying to think of something weird and wonderful to do in all of my free time since finishing my exams. I think I came up with the best solution. I managed to watch 7 of the classic Season 1 episodes today already!

How many episodes are there in total?

Then again, is it too mad? well not exactly, but yes, it is mad.

Oh it's mad for sure! I always try 'endurance' challenges, and I think I have a good chance of completing this one.

Watched another 2 episodes last night, which I rated both 3 out of 5 on my spreadsheet. They were nothing special, but I enjoyed watching them still.

I now have 4 episodes of Season 1 remaining. I'm going to crack on with some more now.
